Well, this was a doozy of a career to write about for my struggling retrograde ass brain. But it’s finally here for everyone to read about! Thanks to Tara Jane O’Neil for being such a fascinating artist and subject and all the Bandcamp editors for being tip-top, as always.
It continues to be such an enormous joy to do these deep dives on artists who are so thoroughly deserving, to communicate overlooked or unspoken truths about their oeuvre, hear from the devoted fans who are so delighted and validated by having an artist they love given the flowers they absolutely merit, and bring this music to new listeners and greater consideration. Beyond that, it was also just a real honor to give such a legend her flowers in her thirtieth year as a working musician and about halfway through her 50th rotation around the sun.
